About Us

We’re the Blaylock Family — Daikon and Molly, along with our three wonderful kids, Damian, Marylin, and Lawrence, and our newest little blessing on the way this December. We’re a family that believes in keeping God at the center, embracing the sweetness life has to offer, and finding joy in the everyday mess. We may not have it all together, but together, we have it all.

Our story starts right here in Stephenville. Daikon grew up traveling all over the country as the son of a Marine but always knew Texas was home. Molly was born and raised in the Middle East, and her family has been in Stephenville since the late 1800s. We met and fell in love in Stephenville and then moved to Graham, Texas — where Daikon’s family is from. 2020 opened the door for our family to change course; we slowed down, refocused, and chose a different kind of life — one centered around faith, family, and community.

Food has always been a part of who we are. From Daikon’s years as head chef at the Wildcatter Ranch & Resort steakhouse to our kids learning to knead dough and stir batters at the kitchen counter, the kitchen is where we come alive. We’re the kind of family where 4-year-olds use real utensils and learn the value of good food made by hand and shared with love.

That spirit led to Texan Vittles — our newest family venture. Texan Vittles is our way of reviving old-fashioned southern snacks and family recipes, bringing that nostalgic taste of home to the next generation. It’s the blend of homemade goodness and modern convenience — sweet, salty, and full of heart. Whether it’s a bag of spiced popcorn that makes the drive to football practice a little more special, or caramel candies that taste like Sunday afternoons under a pecan tree, we hope our snacks remind you of life’s simple joys.

At the end of the day, we’re just a Texas family who loves God, good food, and sharing both with our community. Welcome to Texan Vittles — where the kettle’s always warm, the flavors are familiar, and every bite feels like home.
